Lars M. Wolff works in many fields of interfaces to sensors, particularly for camera, sonar, and navigational sensors, on the vehicles of the AUV team TomKyle. Moreover, he develops an acoustic modem for underwater communication as his doctoral thesis. His favourite engagement is the creation of maps from sonar and camera images, as well as the underlying optimization of accuracy and ruggedness of the navigation algorithms.
